Doney* emerges from the stability of the furniture, from the pigeonholed supports, from any aesthetic cage; the first portable television born in Europe, awarded the Compasso d’oro (1963), does not want to integrate itself, to live an independent life, an object among objects. Designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper in 1962. It is the first fully transistorized television in Europe. Different versions and evolutions will be made over the years, but all will maintain that concept of perfect example of rationalism conceived by its authors. *Regenerated product (year of production 1998).
